“Our Year 6 team take 80+ pupils to Swanage for a three day residential every year and we have a great time. We fish for mackerel, kayak and spend an afternoon on the water park… to name but a few activities. The staff are great and the children have an amazing time-sensitive do the teaching staff.

Communication with Cumulus is excellent and they go out of their way to create a bespoke programme of activities. “Great 2 days with Cumulus.
Our coasteering activity was cancelled due to the sea state (wise move) so we went climbing at Dancing Ledge instead with different climbs for different abilities. Campsite was amazing with massive tents, great environment and food and organization by Roxie. The students loved the campsite. The highlight was the mackerel fishing from 2 boats in Swanage harbour with 18 fish caught. Relaxed and happy children made possible by great organisation and attention to detail. Thanks Cumulus.”

About Cumulus Outdoors (residential)

Cumulus Outdoors’ residentials are action-packed, bespoke and tailored to your requirements, fully supported by the office team.

Programmes can include coasteering, waterpark, mud run, kayaking, mackerel fishing, rock-climbing & abseiling. The perfect choice for a school trip or leavers’ camp, fun and educational, the 3, 4 or 5 day programmes encourage students to enjoy and explore the great outdoors.

Set in a secluded camp on the edge of Poole Harbour, with 24 hour on-site pastoral care, each programme combines traditional bushcraft with exciting adventure activities with all meals cooked on camp. In addition to these fun activities, we can also offer a range of educational modules utilising our links with local providers such as the Jurassic Coast Trust, RNLI Swanage and RSPB Arne, providing added depth to your programme if you choose.
