Welcome to TeachOut, a free resource making it easy for teachers and educators to plan enriching educational experiences in the South West.
Our ethos is support schools and families to encourage young people to learn outdoors, with a hand-picked selection of the most exciting and interesting day visits, residentials, in-school providers and transport across the region. You can browse our listings by key stage, topic or subject, as well as by category, postcode and distance from your school.
TeachOut is brought to you by the publishers of Primary Times magazine in Devon, Cornwall and Dorset. We’ve been publishing content to help families make the most of school holidays for 25 years. As such, we’ve built up an unrivalled knowledge of all the enriching educational experiences in the South West.
We’ve also established excellent relationships with schools and teachers. We understand and appreciate the enormous amount of work you put in. Teachout is our way of giving back by helping to make your job easier!

Teachout is owned by Write Place Media based in Devon, an independent, established and friendly publishing company that places huge emphasis on quality of editorial content. We never allow content or adverts that are inappropriate for families. We apply the same editorial rigour to TeachOut, ensuring that only legitimate and relevant listings appear on our website.
