Carey Outdoor Education Centre (Dorset)

The Centre provides a range of activities and courses to groups, which can include schools and organisations. These can be tailored to the needs of the group or the curriculum.

Activities include:

• tree climbing
• mountain biking learning on site skills and confidence building sessions. You can also hit the trails and develop technique and fitness
• rock climbing
• kayaking and raft building on sheltered lakes, harbour, river or sea
• archery on our woodland range
• team building and problem solving
• natural shelter building, sleeping out and cooking your own meal
• shovel fire-lighting
• a hammock and tarp overnight experience with hot drinks made on the Kelly kettles
• orienteering using our onsite facilities or in the local forest
• a low ropes challenge course
• a traversing wall
• environmental and wildlife activities
• woodland crafts and art
• practical river studies
• sleeping in heavyweight, lightweight and bunkhouse style accommodation
